Hippokratic School of Medicine

The Hippokratic School of Medicine was a medicine school located on the Greek island of Kos. Established by Hippokrates, the "Father of Medicine", the students, known as the Asklepiads, were said to be descendants of the god of medicine, Asklepios.[1]

During the Peloponnesian War, the school was visited by the Spartan misthios Kassandra.[2]
