Bayek riding on Hermes

Hermes was a horse belonging to Darius, a horse-breeder in Cyrenaica who lived during the 1st century BCE. He was one of Darius' most prized stallions, considered by his owner as one of their fastest as well as the best breeder.

In 47 BCE, Hermes was stolen by a Roman quartermaster who transferred him to the Chersonasos Military Camp for the Prefectus Equitatius there. Finding out that Hermes had been stolen, Darius requested the Medjay Bayek of Siwa to track down the horse's whereabouts and bring him back.[1]
