An Isu gauntlet

A gauntlet is a type of glove, usually of leather or metal, meant to protect the hand and wrist of the wearer.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra collected various bracers.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Though there are many gauntlets that were acquired during the Peloponnesian War, they actually date from the high middle ages.[2]
