The Galloglach Bracers were a pair of bracers used by mercenaries in Ireland during the 9th century.
During her travels, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan acquired these bracers from a chest in Lincoln, Lincolnscire. She would also acquire the other pieces belonging to the same set of armor.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
The use of the term galloglach (Irish: "young foreign warriors") in the late 800s is anachronistic, as this type of mercenary was not historically attested until the mid-13th century.[2]
