Fort Ehrenfels

Fort Ehrenfels was a large Frankish fortification build along the River Rhine in the northwestern part of the region, southwest of the Rhine Fortification. It was protected by a significant military force.

In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by the Vikings Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and her longship crew.[1]
