Biography[edit | edit source]
Born in Venice in 1458, Elena's father Marco was a high-ranking commanding officer in the Venetian military at the time while her mother Natalia was a talented seamstress. In 1476, Elena and her father moved to Florence, where she opened her own shop with her father's support.
