The Doppelhander was a simple yet effective longsword brought over from mainland Europe and used in England during the 9th century.
During her travels, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan bought this great sword from a merchant for 390 silver pieces.[1]
