Dan Bowen was a Loyalist in New Jersey who stored large amounts of British tea in his cellar. The Colonial Assassin Connor learned about this and sent his recruits to expose him. On 22 December 1774, the apprentices gathered Patriots to break into Bowen's home, and promptly burned the tea in the Market Square.[1]
