Cave of the Lion entrance

The Cave of the Lion was a cave complex in Pirate's Revenge on the island of Keos, Greece. Found northeast of Koressia, the main hall in the cave was inhabited by a large pack of lions, while bandits had claimed one of the smaller chambers.

During the Peloponnesian War, the misthios Kassandra explored the place, killing the lions and bandits within and claiming their valuables.[1]
