The cutlass was found in an isolated ruin on [[Cerros]], which the [[Assassins|Assassin]] [[Ratonhnhaké:ton]] explored during the [[American Revolutionary War|American Revolution]]. He obtained the weapon after he [[Lost Mayan Ruins|navigated the ruins]] where it was kept.

Captain Kidd's Sawtooth Cutlass was a serrated sword originally owned by Captain William Kidd. It was acquired by the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton in 1774 from a Mayan ruin at Cerros.
