- ―Élise Lafleur to Aveline de Grandpré, 1766.[src]-[m]

A canoe is a lightweight, narrow boat that is pointed at both ends, open on top, and propelled by one or more seated or kneeling paddlers.
History[edit | edit source]
During the 18th century, canoes could often be found on the shores of the swampy Louisiana Bayou, providing a safe means of transportation across its alligator-infested waters. Although less common, they were also used to explore the underwater cave systems, accessed through cenotes, in Chichen Itza.[1]
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
During development, canoes were intended to be usable in Assassin's Creed III, as indicated by a publicity still of Ratonhnhaké:ton rowing one, but the feature was ultimately cut. Despite this, canoes still appear in the longhouses of Kanatahséton, though they cannot be interacted with.
