Iseji Trails

Iseji Trails was a sub-region in Kii, Japan, situated north of Kumano Sanzan.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

In the 1580s, the Black Crosses Eamon Hathaway and Nirmala had arrived on the region's shores disastrously due to the captain Yang having crashed his ship. Despite losing their notes and belongings, Eamon and Nirmala continued and ventured west into Kii for their mission of finding The Observatory.[2] However, Yang had unwittingly informed the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke,[3] who began to track down Eamon[4] and Nirmala upon their separate meetings in Yuasa.[3]

When they arrived at the trails, Naoe and Yasuke saw the shipwreck, leading Naoe to dive and investigate the wreckage. Meanwhile, Yasuke kept an eye out inland until he was nearly killed by Nirmala. Thus, Yasuke fought against Nirmala, managing to best her, and then held her by the neck. However, Eamon entered, giving Nirmala the chance to escape Yasuke's grasp before joining her mentor fight against Yasuke. Together, they severely beat Yasuke and left him for dead, before taking his keystone for the door in Wakasa. Naoe soon came up, only to find Yasuke nearly dead. She soon had Yasuke taken back to the homestead to recover.[2]
