Yura Shipyard was a shipyard located north of the town of Yura in Awaji, Japan.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1585, the Kakushiba ikki member and samurai Yasuke ventured atop an atakebune, recently under construction. Within the ship's mast, he came across and met with an old ashigaru, who revealed his past and how he fled from the war. However, he admitted of missing being part of something grand and asked Yasuke for a friendly spar. Yasuke agreed and the two fought each other within the ship. Despite the ashigaru's use of his naginata and ōdachi, he was bested by Yasuke. With the old ashigaru honored, Yasuke received a spare naginata The Best Offense as a gift for the spar.[1]
