Abubakar Salim in 2017

Abubakar Salim is a British theatre and television actor of Kenyan descent[1] who provides the voice of Bayek in multiple Assassin's Creed projects. Salim has previously appeared on television shows including Spotless, Black Mirror, Strike, and the theatre production Labyrinth.[2] After voicing Bayek in the character's debut 2017 video game Assassin's Creed: Origins, Salim reprised his role the next year for Origins' downloadable expansions, and again in 2020 for a brief narration in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. He has since gone on to star in the 2022 Game of Thrones spin-off prequel series House of the Dragon, and in 2024 founded and is CEO of the British-based film and game studio Surgent Studios, which released its Bantu mythology-inspired debut game Tales of Kenzera: Zau with Salim voicing its protagonist.
