Bartolomeu Dias (Anglicized: Bartholomew Diaz; c. 1451 – 29 May 1500) was a Portuguese explorer. He sailed around the southern tip of Africa and reached the Indian Ocean from the Atlantic, becoming the first European explorer known to have done so.

In 2012, he was included in a mnemonic set in Abstergo Industries' Project Legacy.
