Slate - The way I see it is that I can have fun playing Dishonored, Assassin's Creed or the Arkham series, but they all have their flaws. For me, Assassin's Creed lacks the choice that Dishonored has; which is provided in SoM. Batman lacks the climbing of Assassin's Creed, but has the combat & stealth; which is provided in SoM. And Dishonored lacks the combat of Batman; which is provided in SoM.

Don't get me wrong, I love new ideas (that's why I've pre-ordered Destiny), but I also like it when established game mechanics can improve. And to be honest, it's not like there's nothing creative.
