Baldassarre Castiglione (1478 – 1529) was an Italian diplomat, author, soldier, and member of the Italian Brotherhood of Assassins. He was present in Rome alongside Pietro Bembo during the city's liberation, where the pair kept an eye on the Assassin hideout on Tiber Island during Niccolò Machiavelli's absence.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze remarked that they were completely reliable Assassins and important additions to the Brotherhood, as both of them had connections with the Borgia family. However, Castiglione soon had to return to Mantua, where he would keep making himself useful to the Assassins' cause.
