Abstergo Medical, also known as Abstergo Pharmaceuticals,[1] is a subsidiary company of Abstergo Industries. It is responsible for the production of medicines as well as research on drug therapy, biotechnology, and pharmacology.[1] Prior to 2016, Juhani Otso Berg was appointed director of the company.[2]

Alongside the Historical Research and the Lineage Discovery and Acquisition divisions, Abstergo Medical is housed at an Abstergo facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the United States.[3]

In 2016, André Bolden was offered free experimental PTSD treatment, as a way for Otso Berg to get access to his genetic memories,[4] though the division does actually develop and offer treatments for PTSD.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The Essential Guide does not list "Abstergo Medical" as one of the subsidiaries and companies belonging to the conglomerate, but instead includes "Abstergo Pharmaceuticals", with the blurb discussing the event that occurs on Assassin's Creed: Templars, where it was called "Abstergo Medical".
