Here's some tips on how to apply references:

When it comes to just a singular reference, all you need to do is surround the source with the following tags:

<ref>Link to source material</ref>

When it's for multiple references, you should compose it as such:

First instance of reference - <ref name="tag for source">Link to source material</ref>

Subsequent instances of reference - <ref name="tag for source"/>
