Tove was labelled as Svend's wife. While she was waiting by Svend's grave she states "You were the only father I've ever had." This indicates that they shared a parental bond, not marital. Her statement also indicates that they were not blood related, although that is up for debate.

Tove was a Viking and a member of the Raven Clan who lived during the 9th century. She was the adopted daughter of Svend, a barber who worked as a tattooist for the clan.

In 872, upon Eivor Varinsdottir's return to Fornburg from a botched attempt to eliminate Kjotve the Cruel,[1] Tove requested the warrior to teach her archery. In gratitude, Tove gave her a new tattoo design that she made.[2]

A year later, Tove, along with Svend and numerous other Raven Clan members, accompanied Eivor and her brother Sigurd Styrbjornsson to England to start a new life.[3]

Joining the Hidden Ones[edit | edit source]

Around 889, Tove, alongside Yanli, Rowan, and Eluric, joined the Hidden Ones and trained under Hytham in Ravensthorpe.[4]
