Paneb was the father of the street urchin Tuta, and they lived in Zawty, Egypt during the 1st century.

In 70 BCE, Bayek met Tuta, and chased him across rooftops. Paneb attacked him, but Aya saved Bayek, knocking Paneb unconscious, and they fled with Tuta to Thebes. He later stabbed his son to death.
