Elisa Adler

Elisa Adler (born c. 2000) is the amnesiac daughter of the late Thomas and Alice Adler, two employees of Abstergo Industries. She was admitted to the Clinique des Rameaux in Switzerland under the name "Elisa Bouvier."

Biography

The accident

In February 2017, whilst driving in the Pyrenees, Elisa was involved in a serious car accident which gave her a head trauma, resulting in amnesia. To care for her better, her parents sent her to the Clinique des Rameaux in Switzerland, but admitted her under the alias "Elisa Bouyver" to avoid suspicion. It was at this clinic that she met Dr. Florent Carpentier, and started to develop a close relationship with him. During their sessions, Elisa admitted her true name as well as Chapman's treatment using "VR device.

Returning Home

In November of that year, at the suggestion of Dr. Carpentier, Elisa decided to visit her parents in Madrid. The idea was that it would be easier to recover in the company of loved ones. However, after a brief conversation with her parents, Elisa was met by a freed Maxime, who accused her parents of kidnapping. Immediately shocked, Elisa soon watched her doctor attack Maxime and, in the process, she saw her parents killed by Florent. As she cradled her dead mother, Elisa witnessed Maxime subdue her doctor. Quickly, Elisa and Maxime left her home and hid from the incoming Assassins.

Under Chapman's Control

Elisa soon followed Maxime outside to her doctor's car while avoiding incoming Assassins. While on the run, Maxime informed Elisa of her parents' actions and the problem with the Assassins. Within their conversation, she received a phone call with a coded message. Suddenly, she pulls a gun on Maxime and tells him to drive to their next location. Soon, they find themselves at a helipad in the Swiss Alps as they soon meet with Stanislas, Nathalie's security. A tranced Elisa and Stanislas brought Maxime aboard the helicopter, where they reconvene with Dr. Chapman. In the air, they flew across the mountains to Chapman's secret base in the Alps, where she had her own version of Project BLUEBIRD.

There, Elisa and Maxime were promised their memories back if Gorm helped Chapman to relive his mother's memories at the point she was chasing down the Bloodstone Unit.

Working with Tomo

After Gorm helped Nathalie, Elisa was shown to her room at the base. Soon, she was startled by Tomo, who broke into her room. She attacked him for him killing her parents. However, while she restrained, she heard Tomo's apology and was reasoned that Chapman's plans would prove fatal for the rest of the world. Afterwards, she agreed to help Tomo. She soon found Maxime being escorted by Stanislas and his guards and demanded to speak with him. However, Stanislas accused her of working with Tomo due to his security system. However, she stated there was a blind spot, which Tomo used to kill the security detail, Stanislas, and Maxime altogether.

Elisa awaited Tomo, who bargained with Chapman for their freedoms in exchange for the cure of the virus he unleashed in her system. After Nathalie complied, Elisa and Tomo escaped by helicopter as she questioned if Tomo gave away the virus' cure. However, Tomo told her that he gave another virus aimed at the cooling system. As they flew away, the machine was activated again, which led to the base ultimately exploding, along with Chapman and presumably the Apple of Eden.

Trivia

• Elisa is a diminutive of Elizabeth, which in Hebrew means "committed to God". While Adler is a German word meaning "eagle."
