The Oneida (English: People of the Standing Stone) are an Iroquois nation, being referred to as the Younger Brothers in the Haudenosaunee Grand Council along with the Cayuga.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

During the Seven Years' War, several Oneida tribes supported the British Empire, among them the inhabitants of Orenda. In retaliation, the Assassin Kesegowaase had his men occupy the village and hold their clan mother, Onatah, hostage. Fortunately, Shay Cormac freed the clan mother and cleared out the occupiers in an effort to weaken French and Assassin forces in the area.[2]
