re: external links[edit source]
We have this already via the WP-REAL template that puts an icon in the top right corner of the article. If the article is for an out of universe topic then we include an external links section for people’s various social media site. If an in universe topic needs any extra context (usually in the form of contradictions to historical records) we have a behind the scenes section. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 12:25, 7 July 2024 (UTC)
Hello Rgilbert, I'm not entirely sure I understand your question, but we already regularly link to Wikipedia articles for topics not covered by our wiki, using the template {{Wiki|PAGE NAME}}.
The {{WP-REAL}} template is another thing completely. It is used when there is a real-world counterpart to a subject and there is a Wikipedia article on that real-world counterpart. The special link is placed at the top of articles. Your application of this template to the pages of characters like Desmond Miles, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Ratonhnhaké:ton, Evie Frye, Kassandra, etc. is incorrect because these are fictional characters. The {{WP-REAL}} is only used for cases like George Washington, Leonardo da Vinci, Cleopatra, etc. who are characters based on historical figures or things like Venice, Greek fire, katana, etc. which exist or have existed in real-life.
Like I said, I don't entirely understand your question, so I'm not sure which of these is relevant to your question. However, you can look at the recently edited page "Junk" to see both templates in practice. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 05:27, 8 July 2024 (UTC)
