'''Tolui Khan''' (c. 1191–1232) was the fourth and youngest son of [[Genghis Khan]]. He was a prominent general during the early Mongol conquests, serving as regent of the [[Mongol Empire]] until the accession of his brother [[Ögedei Khan|Ögedei]]. He was the father of [[Möngke Khan|Möngke]], [[Kublai Khan|Kublai]] and [[Hülegü Khan|Hülegü]].<ref name="Wiki">{{WP|Tolui}}</ref> In the early 13th century, he allied himself with the [[Assassins|Assassin]] turncoat [[Shengtong]], who would teach Assassin techniques to monks for him at the [[Pagoda of Chengtian Temple]].
