Mark Brown attended and graduated from Marple Newtown Senior High in 1995, before dropping out of an Architectural Engineering degree at {{Wiki|The Pennsylvania State University|Penn State University}} in 1998. He then became a level designer at {{Wiki|Monolith Productions}}, with his first credit being the 1998 video game ''{{Wiki|Shogo: Mobile Armor Division}}''. He designed levels for many other games and several other companies.
