'''Ka'b ibn Zuhayr''' was a 7th century [[Arabia|Arabian]] poet and a contemporary of the prophet {{Wiki|Muhammad}}.

Ka'b gained fame for his ''Bānat Suʿād'', a {{Wiki|qasida}} in praise of the prophet.<ref name="Wiki">{{WP|Ka'b ibn Zuhayr}}</ref> After presenting the poem to Muhammad, the prophet was moved by the verse that he removed his mantle and wrapped it around Ka'b, which was considered a great honor.<ref name="ACMir">''[[Assassin's Creed: Mirage]]'' – [[Abbasid Caliphate notes]]: A Fantastic Acquisition</ref>

Ka'b's poem was later on compiled into the {{Wiki|Jamharat Ash'ar al-Arab}}, which the 9th century [[Hidden One]] [[Tabid]] obtained a copy of. He sought to share the book and the poem to his [[Mentor]] [[Fuladh]] and recite the verses to him and friends.<ref name="ACMir" />
