Some short time later, Ascair and his men discovered the main lair of the Assassins in Bayonne. Ascair, along with [[La Morguy]], was summoned by Pierre de Lancre to help plan the attack against the Assassins. When the Assassins infiltrated the castle, looking for the Shroud, Ascair was stationed outside Ermeline's bedroom at the castle, and surprised Margaux and Fabrizzio as the pair tracked down the Shroud.
