The '''Exterminator''' (died 1582) was a [[Japan]]ese criminal and member of the [[Seta River Killers]] hired by the [[Japanese Rite of the Templar Order|Japanese Templars]] during the late [[Sengoku period]].

==Biography==
In 1582, the Exterminator was part of a group of hired killers who were commissioned to kill influential people within the communities of [[Yamashiro]], [[Izumi Settsu]], and [[Ōmi]]. Along with the [[Trader]] and the [[Builder (Seta River Killers)|Builder]], he was tasked with overseeing and employing killers for the group's contracts; thus, he assigned kill orders to both the [[Tormentor]] and the [[Stalker (Seta River Killers)|Stalker]].<ref name="Hunting the Hunters">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]] – [[Story Drops]]'' – [[Hunting the Hunters]]</ref>

However, the [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] members [[Yasuke]] and [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] learned about the killers' plans after helping the [[Templars]]' former colleague [[Rufino]], a [[Portugal|Portuguese]] translator, in putting an end to their kill contracts and saving the locals targeted by the Templars.<ref name="Hunting the Hunters"/>

After assassinating the Tormentor and the Stalker, Naoe and Yasuke learned the Exterminator's location at [[Koriyama Camp]]. Traveling there, they caught sight of him taunting and torturing his prisoners along with his men. Breaking into the camp, Naoe and Yasuke confronted and killed the Exterminator, acquiring a coded message from his personal effects.<ref name="Hunting the Hunters"/>
