==Biography==
Part of the street gang [[Kabukimono]], Ember was one of eight ''rōnin'', who were attacking the communities across the provinces [[Izumi Settsu]] and [[Harima]]. However, the priest [[Shin'nyo]] of the [[Nishinomiya Shrine]] met with and enlisted the help of the [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] member [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] to deal with them.<ref name="Kabukimono">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[The Kabukimono]]</ref>

===Death===
By 1852, Ember led his group, the Firebrands, on a mission to "purify" the [[Earth|world]] with fire, as a means of his pyromaniacal tendencies. Stationed at some burned down buildings near the [[Temple of Osaka]], the rōnin watched over their incendiary weapons and resources. However, he was soon found and assassinated by Naoe.<ref name="Kabukimono"/>
