'''Azuchi Castle''' (安土城) was a [[Japan|Japanese]] castle in [[Ōmi]] whose ruins are located in what is now {{Wiki|Ōmihachiman}}'s Azuchi neighborhood. During the [[Sengoku period]], the castle was one of the principle stronghold of [[Oda Nobunaga]] and his family household until his [[Honnō-ji incident|assassination]] in 1582.<ref name="Wiki">{{WP|Azuchi Castle}}</ref> [[Hashiba Hideyoshi]] and Nobunaga's son {{Wiki|Oda Nobutada|Nobutada}} had residences in the castle.<ref name="ACSH">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]''</ref>

In 1582, the [[ronin]] [[Yasuke]] returned to Azuchi a few days after Nobunaga's death to meet with Hideyoshi's wife [[Nene]].
