Re: The Game Itself[edit source]
It is not anti-Catholic. Even though the Templars are portayed as a power hungry organisation and in AC 2 Rodrigo Borgia/Pope Alexander VI is the main antagonist, the games don't trash any religion. In fact it doesn't play much of a role in the series at all.
The developers put disclaimers on all of the games as they start up that mentions that the staff is made up of people of many faiths, races, etc., indicating that they are aware people could be considered by some subject matter, and to let players know that they are not setting out to attack any particular group.
I would recommend at least giving the games a try, especially Origins (ancient Egypt) and Oddysey (ancient Greece). Those two are my personal favourites. (as a fan of those cultures) They have a somewhat more RPG style game. I hope I helped ease your concern. The Cat Master (talk) 01:56, October 18, 2018 (UTC)
