Altair, closely followed by Connor. He spent most of his life away from his only home (Masayf) because of Abbas, who also caused the death of Maria, Sef and Malik. Although Connor's story was tragic too.
Hated the modern-day ending of AC3. It just felt too rushed and set up intentionally to make sequels. I don't mind them leaving some threads open, but the ending was practically screaming "We will make more games and so more money!". Also, Desmond's end was a bit... simple, and not particularly emotional. SPOILERS He tells his friends to leave, touches a pedastal, and collapses. SPOILERS.
'AC2: Highest level sword I could afford. Hidden blades for stealth or acrobatic attacks. Not much else. ACB: Again, highest level sword, and hidden blades, but also used poison darts quite a bit for distraction. ACR': You guessed it! More swords and hidden blades, plus poison darts. British gunpowder thunder bombs, british gunpowder smoke bombs, and indian gunpowder cherry bombs worked a treat. AC3: Tomahawk. Could not get enough of that thing. Though I occasionally used a sword I bought late on in the game. Also mapped the bow, pistols and rope-dart to the D-Pad. Almost never used the hidden blades outside of combat.
