Remove appearance field?

This is an ongoing discussion.

Just like we removed VA from character infoboxes for being OOU should we also remove Appearance from the infobox as well? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 07:41, 8 June 2024 (UTC)

Any people for/against this? It's been 4 months since May, which is roughly when we started implementing ref tags in memory pages (where/when we can) for site consistency, but this field is still filled out of habit even when the games and any applicable DLCs are already named at the page bottom as a bulleted—and incorrect—Reference. – Darman (talk) 02:46, 1 October 2024 (UTC)

Thanks, Darman, for pointing me in the direction for this discussion. Honestly, I feel like the inclusion of this field in the infobox is helpful for editing. I vote against removing it. - Soranin (talk) 15:30, 11 November 2025 (UTC)

So I don't have to scroll all the way down to find the info I need when making references for other pages. Also, I should point out that "it's already in the page" isn't really an argument, since the same also applies to pretty much all fields on these types of templates, like for example dates of birth and death in character templates and the field for sources in this very template. - Soranin (talk) 16:01, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
