well apparently he doesn’t appear in the DLC at all... because Ubisoft I guess? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 16:00, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

Gods, I know I shouldn't be surprised at this point but wtf ubisoft. - Soranin (talk) 18:07, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
How do you forget one of the commanders?! Damn. How do we address this, then, because Rollo's WP page says he led the Vikings (citing an encyclopedia in the Library of Congress) , but both the game and WP's page for the siege say it was done by Sigfred (and maybe Sinric? Guessing since I haven't seen him in preview footage yet) while Rollo was more a participant commander. – Darman (talk) 23:00, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
Sinric is dead in the DLC with his death being the catalyst for Sigfred looking for more allies. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 20:53, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
True, but that doesn't mean he couldn't have led the siege alongside his brother and died within its early days. WP only mentions that Sinric existed, but makes no mention of either he or Sigfred dying, while Rollo survives to rule as Duke of Normandy. – Darman (talk) 21:50, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
Oh yeah I was just giving you context on why you haven't seen him in footage but yeah he and Sigfred were coleaders and we are coming in at the second half of the siege. As for how we deal with this is even worse than WOTD; but we can frame it as how Layla's animus recreated the simulation to explain any historical discrepancies kinda like how we did for some of the discrepancies between Odyssey novel and game. Lacrossedeamon (talk) 22:03, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

Ahh, OK. I don't see how there's any anachronisms, though. As a major early example, sure, Toka mentions Guthrum, Hemming, and Halfdan, which Access the Animus suggested was to allow new players easier flow into the DLC after meeting some/all of the characters who by 885 were dead or otherwise occupied, but I thought historical fact took precedence except in cases where AC did something like give someone the wrong death date. Thus, seeing as the DLC is from late 885 to maybe early 886, I simply chalked Toka's error to in-universe lack of knowledge / poor lying and wrote as such on each of the mens' pages. – Darman (talk) 22:55, 12 August 2021 (UTC)

That is explainable that way; the main anachronism is just Rollo not being a factor at all in the events.Lacrossedeamon (talk) 23:51, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
Maybe it's as simple an explanation as he's there but off-camera? – Darman (talk) 00:00, 13 August 2021 (UTC)
