In AC2 there were two hidden blades, I'm thinking three ancestors for AC3, each in a differant era. Possible times would be as the assassin's who assassinated Hitler in WW2, the american revolution, the French reveloution, feudal japan (ninjas!!!), Eden itself, with the Spanish conquering the Inca or Aztec Empires (crystal skulls), Israel in Jesus's time (unlikely), Germany during the reformation or Holy Roman Empire (again, unlikely) or England during it's Empire.

I can't see it being in Russia due to the fact that the comic series The Fall, deals with that pretty much.
