well it seems school starts now:( don't have time to finish my blade any time soon. so i will explain it here. u carve in a track inside the blade mechanism, you then place a pin on the blade lined up with the track.(the pin itself could then be use to also hold the plade in place. then on the end of the track make a curve so that when you pull the string(attachted to the base of the blade). it will slide up and get stuck in the curve. it will then not be pushed back or fall back until you pull the string again. it will then retract becasue of a spring attachted to the bottom of the whole thing and the blade's base. NO speciffic slider need only a bit of patience and the basic skill in metal working.

P.S. i will make a blade and bost the schematic in time for those of you who did not follow my walkthrough here.
