I don't really agree. The primary thing of AC is not its gameplay (although the gameplay in Syndicate is mostly AC-style), but the philosophy, and I think the philosophy behind Syndicate will be very Assassin-y. Just like in BF, Edward was first and foremost a pirate, but the whole story had the same idea. If Syndicate's story wasn't part of AC, it would feel a bit empty, since the Fryes wouldn't have an organization to align their ideas with.
