Yeh, there's always DLC eventually. That's when they add on the pre-order bonuses. Also, if you type in 'privateer' in Google images, you'll get pirate ships and such. Plus the Trophy was marked 'Pirates Bravery'. 'Brigand' in the wikipedia means a highwayman/woman, so I think they may need switching around.
