Spalda Fens

The Spalda Fens was an area of the Fenlands of eastern England, located in the north of Grantebridgescire next to East Anglia. During the late 9th century, it served as the place where Goneril, one of the Daughters of Lerion, operated to hone her skill in the occult to confuse her enemies.
In the 870s, the Viking Eivor Varinsdottir visited the fens and inspected one of the corpses Goneril had used. Despite making use of the occult to disorient and confuse Eivor, the Raven Clan shieldmaiden defeated and killed her opponent, then looted a dagger from her corpse.[1]
