Lais Camp

Lais Camp was a camp in the Isthmus of Poseidon in Korinthia, Greece. It could be found in the southern part of the region, near the border with the Kraneion Plains.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the place, killed the lead huntress, freed their captives, and claimed their treasures.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The name of the camp references Lais, a famous 5th century BCE Korinthian hetaira, regarded as the most beautiful woman of her time.
