The Iberian Seax was a short blade that the Viking jarlskona Eivor Varinsdottir acquired at Azar's market in late 9th century Dublin, Ireland.
Throughout her journey in Ireland, Eivor aided Azar in building Dublin to be the trade center of Ireland. In one of Azar's trade contracts, Muhammad I, the Emir of Córdoba, wished to celebrate a crushed uprising and needed the favors to be paid by Dublin. Eivor traded twenty pieces of clothing, twenty texts, and twenty luxuries, receiving the Iberian Seax in exchange, along with some supplies and amplifying Dublin's renown.[1]
