A hammam in Baghdad

A hammam is a type of public bathhouse commonly seen throughout the Middle East. Its design and concept are based off the imperial thermae used during the Roman Empire.[1]

History[edit | edit source]

In the 860s, the Alamut Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq visited one such bathhouse in the district of Abbasiyah in Baghdad, east of the Scholar's Estate. There, he discovered a treasure chest hidden in a room he was unable to gain access to. Basim managed to recover an oil jar and used it to destroy a collapsible wall, gaining him access into the room and loot the chest, gaining a schematic related to the Zanj Uprising Dagger.[2]
