Hammam

A hammam in Baghdad

A hammam is a type of public bathhouse commonly seen throughout the Middle East. Its design and concept are based off the imperial thermae used during the Roman Empire.

History

In the 860s, the Alamut Hidden One Basim Ibn Ishaq visited one such bathhouse in the district of Abbasiyah in Baghdad, east of the Scholar's Estate. There, he discovered a treasure chest hidden in a room he was unable to gain access to. Basim managed to recover an oil jar and used it to destroy a collapsible wall, gaining him access into the room and loot the chest, gaining a schematic related to the Zanj Uprising Dagger.
