Database: Castillo Morro

Built in 1589 to protect Havana's bay from pirates and foreign invaders, the Castillo de los Tres Reyes Magos del Morro is an imposingly solid structure. Its mere presence put a stop to any raids on the city of Havana until the British invaded during the War of Jenkins' Ear in 1762.
