Colcestre Barracks was a Saxon-guarded barracks and it was located in Colcestre, Essexe, in England.
History[edit | edit source]
In the 870s, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir infiltrated the barracks and inspected the area. Inside, she collected two nickel ingots, one from a chest inside a tower and one from a Saxon soldier.[1]
