Psammos Hideout

The Psammos Hideout was a bandit hideout located north-west of Saqqara Nome in the 1st century BCE Egypt. In 48 BCE, the Medjay Bayek of Siwa infiltrated the hideout, where he eliminated the bandits, claimed their valuables,[1] and found an ignored letter instructing the group to leave for elsewhere.[2]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The name of the place includes the Greek word ψᾰ́μμος (psámmos), which means 'sand, desert'.
