Ibi was a Egyptian villager from Siwa who later moved to Cyrenaica in the mid-1st century BCE.

Biography[edit | edit source]

An old acquaintance of the Medjay Bayek, Ibi lived in Siwa with his daughter Apate, who used to spend time hunting with Bayek's son Khemu.[1] until 49 BCE, when Khemu was killed by the Order of the Ancients.[2] Two years later, Roman forces following the leader Flavius Metellus arrived at the Temple of Amun in Siwa and rampaged through the village. Many Siwan villagers were later captured and made into slaves.[1]

Ibi and Apate fled to Cyrenaica, only to learn that their fellow Siwans were being enslaved in the region. To make matters worse, he saw Apate join a local rebel group against the Romans and their slavers. Sadly, he learned that she was captured and held at a guard post known for its torture. Fortunately, Bayek met with Ibi again in Cyrenaica and Ibi asked him to save his daughter, to which Bayek promised to help. Thus, Bayek found and rescued Apate as they later worked together to kill the Roman torturer, Centurion Severus.[1]
