The Hofburg is the former imperial palace of the Habsburg dynasty in Vienna, Austria. Besides being the seat of government, the palace complex houses a number of other institutions, such as the imperial chapel, the imperial library, and the treasury.[1] The Spear of Destiny that pierced Jesus of Nazareth's side in 33 CE was believed to be held at the treasury until 1938, when the Nazi regime reportedly seized it following Austria's annexation.[2]
