Burgos

Burgos is the capital of the Province of Burgos in the autonomous community of Castile and León, Spain.
History[edit | edit source]
During the late 15th century, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins had a bureau outside the city, headed by Diego de Alvarado. Diego was later captured by Inquisition forces led by the Templar Gustavo Ramírez, who interrogated him for information on a section of a Staff of Eden. While Diego did not know the piece's location,[1] he agreed to become an informant for the Templars, and a double agent within the Brotherhood.[2]
To maintain the ruse that he was still loyal to the Assassins, Diego was left inside the fortress, where a group of Assassins later found and freed him. Following his "rescue", he told the Assassins where they could find Chacon, one of Ramírez's lieutenants helping him search for the Staff section, in the hopes that he would lead them to the artifact or Ramírez.[1]
