Abubakar Salim is a British theatre and television actor of Kenyan descent who provides the voice of Bayek in multiple Assassin's Creed projects. Salim has previously appeared on television shows including Spotless, Black Mirror, Strike, and the theatre production Labyrinth. After voicing Bayek in the character's debut 2017 video game Assassin's Creed: Origins, Salim reprised his role the next year for Origins' downloadable expansions, and again in 2020 for a brief narration in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla. He has since gone on to star in the 2022 Game of Thrones spin-off prequel series House of the Dragon, and in 2024 founded and is CEO of the British-based film and game studio Surgent Studios, which released its Bantu mythology-inspired debut game Tales of Kenzera: Zau with Salim voicing its protagonist.
